JASON EMBERGER

I am so excited to join the Community West family and serve as the Director of Student Ministry. I’m a Philly native and earned my bachelor’s degree in Bible and Youth and Family Ministry from Cairn University before completing my M.Div. at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. I’ve had the privilege of serving in youth ministry in some way, shape, or form for over 20 years in California, Colorado, and New Jersey, and I’m grateful to continue that calling here in Virginia.

I’m passionate about coming alongside the youth and families of Community West as we follow Jesus together. I love intergenerational ministry—seeing faith come alive as students, parents, and people of all ages grow together in Christ. My heart is to walk with young people and their families, creating space where faith can be lived out authentically, where questions and doubts are welcomed, and where lives are shaped by the transforming grace of Jesus.

My wife, Tina, and I have four daughters—Corinne, Ainsley, Morgan, and Penny—and we’re grateful to be part of this church family. The mountains and trails are my happy place, and in my spare time you’ll likely find me running and hiking, enjoying a good press of coffee, or cooking anything and everything—especially BBQ.
